Created by MTL 24/24, the Night Council is a concertation table focussing on Montreal’s nightlife issues, in which 12 Montreal citizens contribute to a dynamic and benevolent development of the city’s nocturnal activites. Its mission is to facilitate the creation of public policies adapted to the realities of nocturnal economic and cultural activities.
Its mandate is to:
1- offer, on its own initiative or at the request of the City of Montreal, advice and opinions on any matter relating to Montreal nightlife and submit recommendations;
2- solicit opinions, receive and hear representations from any person or group on issues relating to the concerns of nightlife users;
3- create working committees to advance projects.
The Night Council is divided into four committees dealing with various business and community networks of Montreal’s nightlife urban ecosystem.
