CONFERENCES | OCTOBER 22 @ STEREO

Tensions are more than palpable as Montrealers are standing by to hit the dancefloor. In this context, MTL 24/24 is working hard to bring you a programme inspired from the major themes of the nightlife community and the current state of affairs.

On Friday, October 22nd at Stereo, conferences, workshops and presentations on nightlife will be held to better understand the impact of the pandemic on our community.

Here’s a first look until next week’s full programme unveiling:

– The Global Nighttime Recovery Plan promotes a safe recovery of inner-city nightlife by advocating for tactical urban planning strategies. How has Montreal been inspired by this approach this summer?

– Tasha Morizio of the SDC du boul. Saint-Laurent and Marie-Pier Tessier from L’Étoile d’Aire commune interview each other about their vision of nightlife in public space.

– The management of the sound environment surrounding nightlife activities is an essential issue for the economic development of the metropolis. How can culture be reconciled with the residential environment?

– The night has always been at the heart of LGBTQ+ struggles. How do we take this legacy into account when planning for the nightlife of tomorrow?
